Spend it like it’s somebody else’s money. $400,000 for Stadium Bridges art? Sidewalk construction for $40/square foot? 400 linear feet of city sidewalk is only 25 cubic yards of concrete. A flatwork pour like that is less than $4000 in materials. It just doesn’t add up. Reimbursing the company we hire and pay for the cost of their operations? Madness.
