When I read the sub-heading “Light post-election …” I thought we were going to be asked to vote on the new light posts being installed on Main Street.

I think for the Pontiac Trail construction they are waiting to do the West side, wisely, until the recently approved subdivision construction is done, that way new sidewalks won’t be ruined by heavy equipment traffic. Unfortunately, the new road surface will not be so lucky.

I think it’s a real mistake for the city to not put sidewalks on both sides of Pontiac Trail. They are about to do the same mistake on Stone School Road. A commitment to Complete Streets should include sidewalks on both sides of a road, not just one side.
