The fact she was appointed by Governor Snyder, a Republican, may not endear her to the heavily Democratic electorate.

Recall GOP insider Jim Fink who did well in the 2012 primary for circuit court judge in Washtenaw County – garnering over 40% of the vote in a four-way primary, but sustained a decisive defeat to Democratic Party favorite Carol Kuhnke in November.
