Crumpled bike, scraps of cloth and debris in driveway. Four cop cars flashing, wave us on, question driver of white car. Looked bad. No sign of cyclist. Probably already taken by ambulance.

Lovely poison ivy vine growing on front steps of house on 500 block of Packard. Surprising how much poison ivy you see growing around town, unmolested. [photo]

Eastbound Packard at Henry. Two or three car rear-ender. 10:15 p.m. Feb. 16. Two young women sitting on curb with arms around each other. Lots of broken glass and crumpled cars but no injuries. Not sure if pick-up was involved or just helping. [photo]

3:20 p.m. Fire engines, police. Ambulance? Packard is totally blocked off. Something bad happened in the street.

Thayer & Catherine

A uniformed city community standards employee stops car near the corner of Thayer and Catherine after spotting illegally parked car. Goes up to house, knocks on door, people emerge and move car. This is a first. No sneaking ticket under wiper and disappearing. Genuine nice guy.

7:33 a.m. Black SUV T-boned trying to cross Stadium Boulevard northbound to Edgewood while exiting from Pioneer High.
