Address Wrong

The address of a property under discussion for appointment of a study committee to examine possible removal from the Old Fourth Ward historic district was given incorrectly in our original report.  It’s been corrected to 412 E. Huron St.  We note the error here and in the original piece.

Meeting Date, Locale Incorrect

In a report on the Sept. 18 UM Board of Regents meeting, we gave the incorrect date and location for the board’s October meeting. That meeting will be on Oct. 23 at the UM-Flint campus Harding Mott University Center, 303 E. Kearsley, Flint. We’ve noted the error here, and made the correction in the original article.

Parking Open House Location Wrong

On Oct. 14 there will be a public open house held at the DDA office, 150 S. Fifth Avenue 3rd floor from 7-8:30 p.m. on the topic of the underground parking garage. The location originally reported was wrong. We note the error here and in the original story.

Dollar Amount Incorrect

A Sept. 12 article about the expansion of RelaxStation incorrectly stated the cost of the project. Owner Eileen Bristol is making an investment of $90,000. We’re noting the error here, and have corrected the original story.

Higgins misspelled again

In our report on the council meeting of Sept. 22, we spelled an instance of  councilmember Marcia Higgins’ last name incorrectly.  This was not the first time we’ve done that.  We know how to spell it.  We regret the repeated error. We note the mistake here and in the original report.

Got Student Legal Services?

In an Old Media Watch item, we cited a quote from Doug Lewis, director of UM’s student legal services, in the original publication (Daily Collegian of Penn State) that claimed Eastern Michigan University had no student legal services. That claim is disputed by commenters at EMUTalk.org. We make note of it here, as well as in the original Chronicle Old Media Watch item.

Councilmembers’ names misspelled

We misspelled the names of councilmembers Teall and Lowenstein in a recent roundup of Sunday night caucus. We acknowledge the error here and have corrected the spelling in the original story.  In addition we misspelled the name of councilmember Higgins.
