Excerpt from April 9, 1992 Ann Arbor City Council Minutes COUNCIL PROPOSED BUSINESS APRIL 20, 1992 REGULAR SESSION: Resolution Regarding No Right Turn on Red Signal at Broadway and Swift Streets (Councilmembers Coleman and Hunter) WORK SESSION 90 Council - April 9, 1992 Mayor Brater stated that a Council work session will be held on the proposed City Code amendments concerning incentives for affordable housing and residential uses in the downtown area. MEETING TO EVALUATE EVENTS AFTER BASKETBALL GAME Mayor Brater congratulated the University of Michigan Basketball team for being NCAA finalists, but expressed concern that the post-game celebration escalated to the point of endangering public safety. Ms. Brater stated that university, student and merchant representatives have been invited to meet to evaluate the events and determine whether anything could have been done differently to improve the situation.
