Ypsilanti Velo is promoting Cranksgiving in June, a bicycle race to support Food Gatherers,  which starts from Recreation Park in Ypsilanti – at the corner of N. Congress and Oakwood – June 26, 2010, 6 – 8 p.m. Cash prizes of $25 are offered in two categories, both of which involve riding your bicycle to area grocery stores, purchasing food, and bringing it back as fast as you can.
