On Ellsworth Road between Hewitt and Golfside this morning there’s a huge pool of water, presumably coming out of sewer drains.

An inquiry with Janis Bobrin, Washtenaw County’s water resources commissioner yielded some guidelines about reporting high water like that. In general, people should call water resources commissioner’s office 734-222-6860 or the county road commission.

The county road commission is only involved if it’s outside of a municipal jurisdiction, Bobrin wrote — like Ellsworth between Hewitt and Golfside. In the City of Ann Arbor, people can call call field operations at 734-994-1760. After business hours, 911 dispatch will contact the 24-hour on-call staff and road commission as appropriate.
