Full Moon bar, “closed for spring cleaning” now has signs posted for an auction June 29 of its contents. Methinks reopening won’t.

That location is the kiss of death!

The location is just as good as a lot of others on Main Street. It probably needs to be repurposed towards a different use — either high end restaurant or retail. (Bring back Kline’s!)

It wasn’t the location; it was death by salt. I tried it once, and with a crowd. The verdict was unanimous.

The death of the owner last year may have something to do with it.

Yes, it is related to the death of the owner. The auction will have a variety of different bar/kitchen/billiards/ephemera and not just from the Full Moon but other locations that Andy owned. It starts at 10:30 a.m.

I knew Andy years ago as we were neighbors. I am sad that he passed. Not really in the loop now..but we had some great times at Full Moon. I learned about beer, and at that time in the mid 80″s, there was nothing like it in Ann Arbor.

I didn’t know that Andy passed. RIP. It was fun(and mystifying) to watch him repeatedly change a bar from one location on Main Street to another, and then back to the original location, etc. etc. IMO his death and this auction signify the end of a very colorful era of downtown bar culture. Those were some fun days!
