Storm popped the manhole cover to Allen Creek. Kind of cool to see the water rushing below.

This has happened quite often during storms lately–in the dirt parking lot between W. Liberty and W. Washington, next to the car wash. The last time the cover was popped, it landed quite a distance from the hole, which looked like a dangerous situation to me. I was afraid a small person or animal or car wheel might disappear into the manhole, so I phoned 911. A very strong policeman soon arrived, lifted the cover and replaced it.
