Modernism at Risk” exhibit at the large first-floor space next to Liberty Lofts. Some cool examples – including photos and blueprints – of modernist homes and buildings in the Ann Arbor area, metro Detroit and from around the world. Runs through April 20, open Thursday-Sunday from noon-6 p.m. It’s open to the public, organized by the UM Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.

    From the exhibit’s website: “The Michigan Matters exhibit aims to bring to light the various intact resources associated with the modern architectural movement in Michigan, which date from as early as 1922. The exhibition calls attention to the responsibility we share as a community in the future conservation of our more recent heritage.”

    Is this the only type of thing UM Tabman is going to use this space for? I had much higher hopes for a much more active use.
