Reuters reports that news of a UM consumer report has helped strengthen the dollar against the euro today. The September preliminary index of consumer confidence in the Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers reached its highest point since January 2008, and made the biggest month-to-month jump since January 2004.
