It’s entirely possible that I’m misunderstanding, but it looks like that 1974 record is just the March 11 record?
Re: [1] I think that’s accurate. The number 3,470 is not the all-time record, but just the highest discharge for a day with the date March 11. Which makes today’s readings somewhat less dramatic than I thought they were. Thanks for the reality check.
