The Los Angeles Times reports on an ice dancing competition in LA, noting that Americans Emily Samuelson and Evan Bates, the 2008 world junior champions, are 12th in their first senior world championships. The pair received a standing ovation after their swing dance performance on Thursday. Says Bates, an Ann Arbor resident: “The crowd’s response was absolutely incredible.
