bah. Stupid invasive non-native starlings. We have red-bellied woodpeckers in our neighborhood. More than once I’ve seen starlings drive the woodpeckers out of their nest holes and take them over.
Here’s a recipe for starling pie (“four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie”).
