As of 10 a.m., their site is back up.
I’m jealous. No paper delivery today. None Sunday. Hmm, maybe I should check the acorns in the backyard, maybe there’s a “dot com” on one of them with a scroll inside . . . .
Fountain St. has an awesome delivery team — thanks, Remy and family!
Does anyone know – are they only delivering paper copies to people who had Ann Arbor News subscriptions?
Well in my case they are not delivering paper copies, and I have an Ann Arbor News subscription that was transferred. But I have yet to get a carrier delivered paper. Last Thursday’s paper was delivered by a manager and I had to ask for the previous Sundays. Yesterday’s paper is still a no show. 7 phone calls, 2 e-mails, and I’m told the carrier can’t find me. And the e-mail complaints (which for some reason go to Grand Rapids) are unanswered.
I don’t know who is doing the delivery, but really, it shouldn’t take over a week to find an address in Ann Arbor. And a manager could even draw a map for the carrier.
I was sputtering about not getting Sunday’s paper until I saw something under the van at the bottom of the driveway while I was out weeding . . . Saturday when driving home from Whole Foods I was behind a car swerving and weaving down Mosley and then Third; the driver was hurling rolled-up papers (I’m not sure whose) out the passenger window, sometimes actually reaching the driveway. I wonder if the days of porch delivery are gone. “Your hurled source” comes to mind.
I got mine Sunday in the driveway and the subscription was a carry over from my A2 News balance. I checked out the online subcription management page at a2 dot com and the amount credited to my account is correct.
The paper came early…not sure when but I’m guessing before 6 a.m.
Today we got a plastic-bagged roll of advertising flyers with a cover sheet from AnnArbor.com – not even the minimal content the old FFF distributions had. This is really offensive. Wonder how one “unsubscribes”.
