Wow! If my old memory does me well — Virginia Park was not even mowed nor drinking fountain turned on — It was sad to see young children go to get a drink and it turned out to be a NO GO — This park seems to have been in a dis-array – with Memorial Day having Park NOT ready for children – film industry – and now a whole season later — park is not finished as it said it would be — sad for children — sigh I viewed looks like it cost a pretty penny — not Ann Arbor because we seem to be short of park funds — Barbara E.O’Donnell

In my experience, Virginia Park is pretty well cared for. The grass does get regularly mowed, the water fountain works, the play equipment is in decent condition. The park is always pleasantly busy with neighborhood families.

My only complaint is the overgrown foliage along the west fence which devours baseballs — once a foul ball is sent in that direction, it is never to be seen again!
