8:30 p.m. A car tries to proceed north on Seventh from the left turn lane. They receive a very long continuous horn from the car who was in the correct lane. Just before they made the mistake, I noted the vanity license plate, APROFSR. Absent minded?

That is a very confusing intersection. I made the same mistake once a long time ago and the person who was in the correct lane was kind enough to yell the proper use of the lanes at me through a window without actually taking me out in the process. Usually we all proceed through with the stately pace of a minuet but I have seen at least one accident there.
It is a crazy intersection, with the hills, the jog, and the oblique angles. I’m amazed there aren’t more accidents. I guess there’s something about it that makes (most) people proceed with extreme caution. We need a roundabout there. :)
