Former UM football coach Lloyd Carr is on the campaign trail stumping for Jay Riemersma of Zeeland, a former Michigan player who recently announced his candidacy as a Republican for 2nd District state representative. Also, Weeks notes that Ann Arbor businessman Rick Snyder was endorsed for governor by former longtime Republican National Committeeman Chuck Yob and Jerry Zandstra, president of the Pro-Life Federation of Michigan.
