The New York Times reports on Ford Motor Co.’s plans to offer inflatable rear seat belts in its vehicles, starting next year. The article quotes Stewart C. Wang, a trauma surgeon and director of UM’s Program for Injury Research and Education: “Vehicle safety has come a long away, but the focus has been on the front seat.
