Subject: Gas Leak update, 1 p.m.
    To: UMMS Admin

The natural gas leak near the Medical School is continuing; please continue to avoid the area.

Both vehicle traffic and pedestrian traffic are being limited in the area around the Medical Science I building.

All hospitals and clinics are open at this time.

Only the C wing of Med Sci I has been evacuated.

The parking structure for the Cardiovascular Center has been closed to new parkers; those with appointments this afternoon should park at the other parking structures. Those with vehicles in the structure will be allowed to exit.

Please share this message with colleagues.

All clear as of 1:30 or so. Firetrucks and police cars gone. Everything back to “normal” at UMHS!

Just got the all clear (as of 1:40) from UM emergency notification. They are working on restoring natural gas service to the hospital and cancer center.
