The city of Ann Arbor’s Trakit project management software provides access to information about the status of permits like the one required for the scaffolding. Searching in Trakit for the address where the work is being completed, 306 S. Main, shows that the permit for the work was granted on Nov. 4, 2010, and expired on Dec. 9, 2010. Based on an email thread shared with The Chronicle by an Ann Arbor resident, the city’s building department has contacted Shaffran and the permit has been extended through January 2011.
