Post office loading dock carts and whatnot include a pallet of March issues of The Ann Arbor Observer. Maintained self-discipline enough not to paw through them to find my copy, even though it would save them the time of delivering it. Speaking of “paw,” the most well-known cat in downtown Ann Arbor makes the cover this month.

    Yes, just to be clear (as I think Daniel and George seem to acknowledge), I was kidding about contemplating pawing through the pallet myself. In a weird coincidence, I ran into Mark Hodesh today right by the post office. (He’s the owner of the cat, and is also featured on March cover of The Ann Arbor Observer, which is a scene from inside Downtown Home & Garden. )

    It’s Lewis, a very independent and admirable feline, one who also certainly deserves to be featured on a cover or two every so often.
