Tis the season. I noticed today that Liberty Street had been swept recently — makes a big difference for the quality of a bicycle ride, to have the winter detritus off the road.
Number to call for potholes is: 99-HOLES
Some of these patch jobs are not holding for more than a day. They patched Miller between Seventh and Newport last Friday. I could see dirt again on Sunday. They patched Dorchester and Towner this week, and it’s rubble again today. I don’t know if it needs to be warmer, or they need to steamroll (probably an archaic term) it, but the patches are not holding for long.
I consider potholes to be a type of random tax on car owners, we could pay up front for proper maintenance.
