    Ahhh, that explains the seemingly hundreds I saw out on Huron River Drive on my ride this morning — and all the “MTR” markings on the pavement.

    And the ones we saw circling downtown (for a while we thought it was just the same tandem couple seen over and over on various streets).

    Friday morning we were at the Washtenaw Dairy, whose staff, in semi-panic mode, had been warned to anticipate a visit that afternoon by 200 tandem bikes (400 riders). Later, the bikers were to wheel several miles out Pontiac Trail, for a dinner gathering at German Park.
