UM: Nurses Union
Members of the University of Michigan Professional Nurse Council, representing about 4,000 nurses at the University of Michigan Health System, have voted to ratify a three-year contract, according to a report in the Detroit News, ending a months-long dispute over terms of the new agreement. The contract includes ”a phasing in of health insurance premium increases and includes 3 percent wage increases the first and second years and 4 percent the third year of the contract, plus step increases,” according to the report.
