(Aesthetic discordance.)

It is a phenotypic signature of some concern, though. Recall that I posted a picture of dandelion blossoms in December (I think).

Linda Diane Feldt posted a twitter item about maple buds and sap issues.{Hate to lose an entire season of local maple syrup.)

The seasonal thing is definitely a concern.

Just to be clear, replacement of “Sign of the Apocalypse” with the name of the nearest intersection was not a judgement about crocuses and their important role in alerting us to the possible near future of the planet as a crisp cinder.

It’s just that we insist rigidly on headlines for these Stopped.Watched. items that are geographic descriptions, preferably the name of an intersection. The reason for that to is to facilitate a possible future implementation of a map-based interface for viewing these items – intersections named as “Street A & Street B” geocode pretty nicely. And even without a spiffy map-based interface, it allows us at with a quick glance of the Stopped. Watched. page to assess that, yes, the geographic coverage for these items is still fairly narrow and might be worth working on.
