It’s difficult to get around town this morning
In an informal poll of citizens and business owners, I’m finding that the *only* folks cognizant that this race was happening *today* were running in it.
Im not running, but I knew about it. Maybe if they read the daily paper – oh wait, never mind.

Our neighborhood association email list had information posted on the marathon and road closures twice — once a couple weeks ago and then again this past Wednesday. There have been notices in our weekly elementary school newsletter asking for people to volunteer to hand out water and/or pick up cups. So, we either need more of these micronews services or a larger service with more penetration.
