The Detroit Free Press reports that U.S. Dept. of Commerce Secretary Gary Locke will be a guest speaker today at an invitation-only innovation forum held at UM’s Ann Arbor campus. The event is expected to draw about 140 university and regional business and economic development leaders, to discuss the role of universities in economic development, jobs creation and commercialization of federally funded research.
