Newsday writes about HealthyStuff.org, a project of the Ann Arbor-based Ecology Center that tests toys for lead and other hazardous materials. The article quotes Jeff Gearheart, the center’s research director: “From 2007 to this year, there was a 67 percent decline in the number of products that exceed the current federal lead standards, which is huge.
