As of around 4:00 p.m. the police cars had disappeared. But there was a car waiting at the light with a Christmas tree lashed to the roof. Just a tad late. Or else way early. Upturned palms followed by pointing to their roof elicited a smile but no explanation from the driver. Query likely misinterpreted as “Nice tree!”
Even too late for Russian Orthodox Christmas, which was January 7. In any event, probably got a good deal!
