UM: Suburbs

An article in the Miller-McCune magazine looks at how the housing crisis is affecting older suburbs, which some say are becoming America’s new slums. The article quotes Christopher B. Leinberger, a UM land-use expert: ”Americans are disillusioned with sprawl, they’re tired of driving, they recognize the soullessness of suburban life, and yet we keep on adding more suburban communities. People identify with Sex and the City and Seinfeld.
