    I saw them cutting those trees down. Looked pretty dead to me.

    But it’s *winter.* Trees always look dead in the winter. They didn’t look dead in the summer, as I recall.

    Go figure. There was a perfectly vibrant tree on William between 2nd and 3rd St that had a big green dot spray painted on it. It was removed this fall while a completely dead and breaking tree is left standing around the corner on 2nd.

    The city foresters are usually pretty on the ball. I imagine there was *some* reason suswhit’s tree was taken down. As for the trees at Fifth and… Wilmington, could they be coming out as part of the Fifth Ave project?
