    Looks like a corn snake, they do wonders for keeping mouse populations under control. At that length, it probably outgrew its terrarium.

    Pity the picture of the head isn’t clearer. I’ve observed at least one (native) hognose snake in the wild in this area which looked very similar to this little guy.

    I do hope it’s something native. Snakes fall in to the same category as spiders for me… they’re very good at eating things that I want fewer of in my house. :)
