Bridge over the mouth of the Argo Cascades is in place. Saw a steam roller preparing the path for pavement, hopefully soon. [photo] [photo]

Is this the new AP-approved use of “hopefully”? I can’t keep it straight… :^)
AP style manual or not, I, appreciate the update.
Have not used steam for quite some time.
STEAM roller?!?! Wow, haven’t heard that term in a while! Since I don’t see any steam engines in the photo and because of it’s location maybe it is a STREAM roller?
So what are they called now then? Internal combustion roller?
I think they are now called “compactors” but I am not certain. How about “presser downers”?
I wish that it would not be paved at all. I prefer wood chips which are alot nicer for running. I think that wood chips would be cheaper than pavement but I’m not sure.
I might agree regarding hard pavement, but in this case the path is intended to meet ADA guidelines. Maintaining a chip or stone path to ADA standards in such a highly used area is intensive maintenance.
I’m more concerned with correct native revegetation of the area.
