About a year ago, not long before his passing, Fullerton addressed the city council on the topic of a greenway. Concluding line of the meeting report’s summary of his remarks: “Fullerton said he looked forward to the good times that families can have walking and biking along the greenway.”
Park bench is a perfect remembrance.
Thank you, Dave, for bringing Ray’s memorial bench and one of his several impressive legacies to the attention of our broader community. Although I was serving on the Allen Creek Greenway Conservancy board of directors with Ray for a period just preceding his death, I learned so much more about his passion for life–and the people in his life–through testimonials at his memorial service last winter. His expansive advocacy will be remembered as we are guided by the light of his energy in life. As we remember him, we’ll keep looking forward as he did, to the good times.
