Crime statistics (for AA, Aug 1-7) indeed seem high, and this doesn’t even count the recent jewelry store theft:
According to AAPD, Ann Arbor police officers responded to 60 serious crimes last week – up from 46 the week before. These included 25 thefts from vehicles, two robberies, four home invasions, two assaults and one vehicle theft.
