There’s Cold in Them Thar Hills

Sledding action at Huron Hills Golf Course

Temperatures at 3°F with winds out of the WSW put Accuweather’s RealFeel® at minus 26°F on Sunday afternoon. We headed out across the city to monitor the hills at Huron Hills Golf Course for any sledding action. Status: two pods of sledders, both decidedly international in flavor. Countries of origin that were represented included Israel, China, and El Salvador. Photos after the jump.

Sledding at Huron Hills Golf Course: Staying upright all the way down is probably less fun than wiping out at the bottom.

    Great shots Dave.

Huron Hills is a “Crown Jewel” for the City winter and summer. Unfortunately, he loss of Pfizer tax revenue will start the debate over closing the golf course once again.

I agree these shots are great and it reminds me how much I love the circle sleds; crazy I know. I love the spinning just like the kids.

It was so darn cold I’m amazed you got there by bike this time of year. Great photos!

Our shepherds have always loved running down those hills with the sledders. As fast as it seems when you’re sledding, the dogs look like they’re just trotting lightly alongside.
