New pedestrian-activated crosswalk beacon installed at South Seventh and Washington intersection. [photo] It’s one of five rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) that city council authorized funding for late last year. The other four locations are along Plymouth Road, at Georgetown, Traver Village, Beal and Bishop.

    Saw them installing solar panels earlier on the week – company with a name along the lines of “hybrid energy”.
