I once saw a hummingbird fly into a window and knock it’s self out cold. It laid on it’s back, just like in the photo, for about 5 minutes then slowly got up. It stood upright, uncontrollably twitching it’s head side to side for a few minutes (while I shooed away the Blue Jays that were trying to attack it). After the twitching stopped it then flew away.
