    House fire on Manchester near Independence. (Our neighborhood.) Ann Arbor Fire Dept. arrived quickly with 4 trucks, and saved the life of the family dog. AAFD brought it out in the front yard within a couple of minutes, much smoke inhalation, but appeared to be semi-alert but wobbly. HVA tried to administer oxygen, dog was not interested. Owners apparently not at home. Much damage to home, I fear.
